The atmosphere was awesome, and the lighting was just right. The fried cheesecake was so smooth and the chicken teriyaki had a sweet savory flavor. The waiter was quick on his feet and cordial.

It is a very special place, food made table side,my four to my thirteen year old loved it. Children friendly place, no need to tell children to get off the phone. Flashes of fire, smell of goodness, joking with the chef, mouthwatering presentation, sadly I was the only one who tipped the chef.

A little more expensive than other Corpus Christi sushi places like Aka or Imperial, but the portions seemed slightly larger and there did appear to be more creativity put into Rockstar's presentation, a very pleasant surprise. In particular I enjoyed the 'Tower,' which wasn't a roll but a well put together collection of ingredients plated into a small 'tower' and topped with a quail egg. Personally my wife and I are fans of Imperial, but if we were unable to drive to the other end of town or just happened to be in the area and in the mood for sushi we would (and will) happily return. The inclusion of hibachi is a nice bonus as well! If you would like to ask any questions about this or other places in the Corpus Christi area feel free to get in touch with us on our YouTube channel (just search my name on YouTube).

We went to Rock Star Sushi and Hibachi tonight for their hibachi, but unfortunately they had reservation only for it. We decided to stay anyway and try out their sushi. The grilled calamari was very good. I absolutely loved it with their yum yum sauce; which I'm pretty sure is their own recipe as it was a bit spicier than most. We tried the Maine Roll, Candy Cane Roll and the Rainbow Roll. I absolutely loved the Maine Roll! The lobster was very apparent and it just had great flavors. My fiance's favorite was the Candy Cane Roll. And as always, the Rainbow Roll was delicious. We both agree that the food was just great quality. As well as the Sake of course!

Another great dining experience. Highly recommend. We had Garlic adamame and fried Gyoza for appetizer Hungry, paradise, rockstar, tornado, crazy boy rolls from the sushi bar For entrees we had House Lo-mein All of it was super flavorful and made ultra fresh and hot. The sushi chef is a young artist in his craft. Some of the best we have ever eaten. It is an abundance of food for a very reasonable price. The quality by far exceeds the price. It’s a little pricey, but the food at this restaurant is fantastic. You have multiple options of authentic Japanese cuisine in addition to a full bar. The decor inside gives off a smooth, relaxed atmosphere. I recommend the miso soup, eel sushi rolls, the fried rice and the mochi ice cream (comes in different flavors).
